My dad, a WWII vet, that has lived with us, since 2006, passed away this morning. My wife and I have been his caregivers, 24/7, for the last 3 years, and we have a spot in our hearts, missing this evening. Just wanted to share. Tom

Sorry to hear that. My deepest condolences. I went through that 9 years ago.
So sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
He’s at the biggest reunion now. Prayers to you and yours.
I pray for you and your whole family. I lost my Dad almost 25 years ago who was also a WWII vet and there is still a hole in my heart. I know nothing I can say or do will make you feel better, but know he is in a better place. My heart felt Condolences!
Thank you all. We prepare for this, we talk about it, but even at 95 years old, I wasn't ready for this. He is no longer in pain, which is a blessing. On Sat. night, while I was sitting with him, me in the chair, and him , in his hospital bed, that we had moved into the living room, he called me over, out of a sleep, and told me he was going home. I told him that he was at home, thinking he was again confused, on where he was at. He wasn't confused, as I know now, he was telling me his final goodbye. His tour of duty was done. My wife, and my children, and I, no regrets, our goodbyes and prayers were spoke, many times, but still, the last one still, really hurts. Thank you all, for the prayers and kind words, and I pray for anyone going through this also.
Please Lord...Mercy, Love, Faith, and Redemption for this man and his family... Amen
Very sorry for your loss Tom. It sounds like he was ready and is now at peace. My dad of 85 left us last fall. You and your family will be okay and he’ll always be with you and I’m sure never forgotten. -Brad
Tom, said prayers for the comfort of you and your family. God Bless.

What loving comfort you and your wife must have been to your Dad! May God bless yo and your family.
My Sincere Sympathies.
I understand Your Pain. I lost My Dad 31yrs ago last month. He was also a WWII Vet.
I miss him everyday. I saw so little of him after I came home from the Service. He's 2nd wife kept him from US. He went quick. She didn't allow him to be buried in the National Cemetery in Los Angeles. Along side His Father and Second Son.
Very Painfull.
Sorry for your loss. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Grief is never the same for each of us. One can rationalize until they are turningg blue but until you are “there” you do not know how the sadness will unfold.
