Not all Styrofoam is the same, some has been treated to reduce static. Degradable 'peanuts' aren't Styrofoam either. EPA again. Polystyrene, polypropylene (#5) & polyethylene (saran wrap) are the best 'static-y' inexpensive plastics. PVC is way down the line.
Tried the styro cup this morning - no go -HF red. Works every once in a while but the ES is on the bench so run the compressor a few min, spray and move to the H.P. to bake. ~ 20 min. total.
OSOK - don't think it has anything to do with the lead alloy, just the powder & charge.

Though delicate, I wonder if a Styrofoam drink cup would work for stubborn powders like HF red? I could see the cup breaking down pretty quickly though.
