Accurate rifle and i like that scope too. I bought a 392 this summer and already want a 397 to go with it.

I need to shoot my air guns more. My oldest son expressed an interest in a very old Crossman .22 CO2 rifle I have. Haven't shot it in years and years. Bought some of these lead free pellets with a plastic skirt at Wal mart the other day because they had them on clearance.

I have two old Sheridans, a blue streak and a silver streak, need to get them out too.

That's good shooting, I just found my old 342 Benjamin, bought back in the mid 70s.
In the late eighties I used some motor oil on it, then it quit working at all. had it stashed in a corner for 30 years.
I contacted Baker airguns about seals for it, and the seals, special tool and shipping add up to 60 bucks.
60 bucks is kinda precious theses days.... I'm pretty sure I can make the special tool, just a rod with a square end, and a means to turn on the other end. I'm thinking an extension for a socket wrench.
If it needs modified, there are plenty of them down at the pawn shop.
After seeing what is inside, I will go visit Ace hardware.

great guns especially the older ones with quality inards. I have not torn into a 397/7 thats less than 5 years old yet.
Its a solid platform and as long as you dont abuse them they should last a long *** time. Most are damaged from over pumping and improper or to much oil.
some of the early ones are a bit tougher
