Have any of you tried the .025 card wads in 38/357 shot loads.
These are considered over shot wads.
I was wondering if they would work between the shot and powder as well?....dale

Cards should work. I used gas checks in 45 colt that worked great until I shot target on hanging on rubber belting. Gas cks didnt penetrate and bounced back 10 yds. Bruises lasted a little over a week. Told others at range doing same and all said they learned the same lesson. I dont load shot with gas checks any more!
Card wads work. I make mine with a drill press and a sharpened .357 case and whatever dense cardboard is around. Been doing that for years and about 6 moths ago, I found a Fred Cornell wad cutter for the .38 that I forgot I had. Sure makes life easy when making .38 wads./beagle
I use a press punch I made on the lathe and punch them out in a press with the pull of a handle then they drop through into the storage container. This is really a simple beginners project for a lathe and real handy. I have them in 36-45-50 and 54 for different guns.
