Finally got around to trying PC on my 40 and 45. Started with HF Red and Yellow. Don't judge me!! LOL Tells you how long ago I bought them. Came out blotchy with not very good coverage. So used mineral spirits to remove the lube, and tried again. Got better coverage, not pretty like I have seen others get, but I don't really care about how they look, just how they shoot. Loaded up several, both calibers, and went to the range. Shot just fine, and no leading! I have had times where it was almost like mining lead.

Like I said not exactly pretty, but it gets the job done. And I added HF White to what I use.

HF yellow is VERY bad at coating. The clear resin is there but the yellow pigment ends up not covering well at all. Still perfectly good to shoot.
HF red has always been one of my standard powders. It coats perfect every time. I did use tumble coating for a while but now have switched 100% to ESPC gun coating. Much better results with ANY powder.
Who cares what they look like as long as they do not lead!
