I ordered a 6# recoil spring from Wolff. If this doesn't work, I'll start cutting coils off of it until it does! It's not as though I do not have any other type of 22 ammo to shoot out of it, but this ammo is just so darn accurate!

Remember that shortening a coil spring reduces the preload, but increases its' rate.
No Joy! Even with the new lighter spring, the cartridge does not generate enough energy to fully cycle the action. Well, back to the Remington pistol match.
I'm not terribly happy with CCI Quiet for the reasons indicated in the following picture.

Norma Tac does better:

My firewall doesn't trust Imgur, and I won't over-ride it.
But Norma Tac MV is ~1150 MV. so it's going to have a longer effective range than Quiet, just the same as about 100 other standard velocity brands.
That is one loud flyswatter!
Norma Tac is advertised at 1082 fps and is NOT supersonic. The groups in the pics I posted were shot at 20 yards. CCI is 5 shots at 1.23". The Norma Tac is 5 shots in .218".
I shoot .22 CB Shorts with a T/C Contender and it does quite well. Last group measured was shot at 25 yards and measured 5 shots in .283". The combo has killed over 150 hogs with a single shot. Placement matters, and precision is the path to success.
OK, you have a gun that doesn't like Quiet. Duly noted.
I have 4 rifles chambered for the .22LR. 2 have match chambers. None shoot the subject ammo very well. As a matter of fact, they shoot ALL other brands and styles much better. A fair comparison is that most will shoot 5 shot groups at 50 yards that range from .1-.6” at that distance. CCI SV typically runs about 1/2” at 50. YMMV.
True. ‘Tis the reason I use CB shorts for pigs. Have put down multiple hogs with that rig without taking a step. My record is 5, a 200#+ boar and sow, plus 3 shoats of about 60#.
The LR rifles love the silencer and make a little less noise than the short shooter when using SV ammo.
Most of us don't want to spend the $$$$$ to license a silencer.
I got a few bricks of that norma tac ammo back after the big Obama shortage was easing. it was the only reasonable priced 22 ammo at the time but that stuff was a mess the bullet lube got all over everything, nothing worst than sticky hands all day at Cecil Webb with no way to get the goo off, and to top it off it would not even work the action on a real nice stainless target 597. could not get rid of that ammo fast enough. cci quiets I like a lot but are only good in lever and slide actions.
My short chambered rifle never whines about rings.
And it can't shoot anything but shorts, either.
