Lymans cast manuel. It's my reloading bible for cast and light rifle rounds. 3rd and 4th editions go hand and hand.
Factory load velocity using soft 8-12 BHN lead bullets of standard weight and profile for the caliber are closely approximated with 5 grains of Bullseye and 240-grain bullet in .44 Special, 6 grains with 215-grain bullet in the .44-40 and 7 grains with 255-grain bullet in the .45 Colt.
