I want to try a .311 mold for my ruger american 30-06 and would like something around 200-250 gr. boolit, I have no idea if which one would work best. Any suggestions on a NOE mold?

I am having good luck with this one in both the .308 and .30-06

I know you said 200-250 but thought I'd throw this out just in case. It is almost closed so I'd act quick.

This one works well for me:

311299 is a good option and linked to in a couple of the posts above. That's as large as I would go. I don't think anything close to 250 grain is going to work well.
Do y'all avoid the spire points? I was looking at this one but missed the sale price

The 311299 is what I refer to as my "Accuracy Without Effort" bullet. Being a round nose, I wouldn't choose it as a killin' bullet, but as a shootin' bullet, it rocks.
This one works well in my .30-06 over 13.0 gr Red Dot

I used to shoot the 247gr over 35gr of H4895 for 1,950fps in my '06.
what happened, you said you used to shoot the 247gr. you stop for some reason.
You didn't mention whether your gun was commercial or a military model ..but either way the 299 is the go to bullet capable of sub MOA in just about any 30 cal..I have the Lyman 311299 that throws a boolit with 314 bands and 301 + nose, I also have all the NOE versions 311299, 312299 and 314299, why ?..'cause I have several (8) 30-06's , each likes a different size nose...the commercial ones want a nose that is at least .302, the others shoot best (.5 MOA) with a .304 nose....that includes the .308's....all groups are at 100 yds.

My plain base 314299 with the .304 nose sized .310 will shoot sub 1/2" groups at 100 yds ...

The 284 is no slouch either

4895 and 4064 work as well with this boolit...Dan
311299 or 311365
I know you said ’06, but I shoot the 311-202-RN (~210 grains) in my 30-40 Krag…
(Good mold, when I can get the boolits to drop from the front cavity! But, I am getting that corrected as can be noted in another thread!)
A steel groundhog at 300 yards is not really a problem. I think if my range was longer, 400 yards would be a potential…
The boolit is at about 1950 fps and I use wheel weights with a bit o’ tin added. No, I don’t know the percentage but ±1.25 ounce per 10 pounds of wheel weights…
I was surprised the boolit did so well hitting catalogs. Although it probably wouldn't act that way hitting a deer...
Don’t know if it would work the same in the 30-06 as the Krag has a bit longer neck and that is why I chose it—better boolit hold and alignment?...
Good-luck…BCB
