Using LC 5.56 for jackets?

I screwed up a few thousand pieces of brass, so wondering if I could cut them off and use the bottoms for 30 and 35 cal bullet jackets. I’m new at this, but have dies for 358, would need to acquire the .308 dies.

Is there a jacket making reference table somewhere handy?

Would work great for .358 jackets.

For 30 cal would require a lot of effort to get down that small.

Indeed, unfortunately they have lg primer pockets and that’s rightfully frowned upon for .223 and 300blk.

Mine did too, but then I uniformed them and now they are not. Really should have noticed before I got into the second bucket of brass, but I was in the zone.

Checkout 22reloader? They sell sleeves for modifying berdan primer pockets. Maybe those sleeves could help you salvage your mistake?

Yeah, I've blown hundreds at a time. One time, I blew 600 or so .40's. Thought I had to trim them when I was new, and got them too short. The firing pin couldnt get enough bite on the primer to light them off.
