Here it is!


BRASS Powder Funnels made from Brass Cartriges.

1) Takes a .223, .308. etc brass cartidge or other size. 50 cal BMG would be great for muzzleloading

2) cut off the base

3) Make a Steel Funnel cone shaped Mandrel on your lathe for each size

4) Heat up the brass cartridge and hammer it on the mandrel to make a funnel or if you have a Lathe you could spin it into shape!

intrizically safe because its Brass!

Your idea is fascinating and your picture is excellent. However, it would have even more impact (the picture) if you would put something alongside to give perspective (say, an empty case that you used to make the funnel). By the way, your workmanship looks to be TOP DRAWER!

Could you show all the devices to enlarge the cases

Where did the funnels in the pic come from? If rifle cases are used the large part of the funnel will be as thin as aluminum foil. Maybe a '06 case inserted into a 50 cal and soldered together would work.

Brass like that is cold drawn not hot forged, before the brass is hot enough to work you will be cooking out the zinc with potentially deadly results-how is that for intrinsically safe?
