As we say in the Great White North..."We have nine months of winter...and three months of rather rough sledding".

Oh... I wonder if I should go out & take pics tomorrow of our driveway and yard.
It would be a "contender" of a pic.
;)
I'm loving it, I have all summer to be miserable in the heat. I don't think MN has had snow like this since about 2009ish, maybe 2011. It sure is a nice change considering we didn't get any snow that didn't melt within a week from 2013-2018. It's amazing we have so many snowmobile company's here. My shooting range is a cut out next to the crow river though, and has flooded in the past. We've made improvements since it last flooded back I think 2014-2015. I'm concerned this may be another bad year. Once it floods, there is no shooting there for at least a couple months.
Dang, I really miss living in Minnesota! Lived in spam town from 2000-2002.
I'll add pictures tomorrow. I get the snow from the cul-de-sac plowed into my yard. I love hitting it with the snowmobile. It must be coming up on 12 feet tall this year.

We had snow in October!
Yep, I've seen diapers on horses, so balloons on cows won't be such a shock. All in the name of science.
At least the snow covers the dirty landscape.
So far today, all we got was sleet.
started out a fairly mild winter and then it turned. Probably more snow here then any year I remember. You aren't getting into my shooting range unless you take a snowmobile. My neighbor tried opening it up with his tractor and snow blower but gave up. Just to much heavy wet snow. Right now the snow drifts on the north and west sides of my house are over the windows! Not as bad as some of the winters in the 70s we had but enough is enough. I want spring!
Ok, I'll stop complaining about the rain every day for 3 weeks.
Snow? What’s that? Here in east KY we have gotten one snow this year and it was about an inch and burned off before 2 the next day, it’s been in the 40s-50s all winter just a TON of rain!!!
Lots of snow here!
I use a snowmobile and make trails for walking or cross country skiing on. I can pull 4, 1 gallon jugs of water in a small sled with the cross country skis for using as water targets.
No snow at the new house in Texas but it’s been plenty wet. We drove from NM to Houston two days ago and the ground appeared saturated most of the way. We used the windshield wipers all the way. We bought the house in September and the yard has been squishy since then. It may dry out in May since Spring is usually wet.
Snow? Co-op buried the bobcat this afternoon and had to use thefront end loader to drag it out. They then used the front end loader to push the snow back...

Us in the South have not had the snow that you Northern guys are getting but everyone seems to be having a worse than normal winter. We don't get much snow but our worst enemy is freezing rain. It can cause power outages that last for a week or more and makes travel really treacherous. People around here can't drive very well in good weather. Bad weather makes for lots of accidents.

Here is a gang of 6 snow plows going on a 3 lane freeway it's pretty interesting how they do it. There is some timing involved with all of these trucks moving together best to give them plenty of room
Here is the snow pile before I hit it with the snowmobile. I don't know if the picture does it justice, but it is all of 12', maybe taller.

Those down in south east Minnesota, South west Wisconsin have it the worst. Much more snow, plus no trees to keep it from drifting. Sunday will be windy.
I think snow is beautiful,,,,,,,,,, as long as I only see it in a picture.
