Thinking about using 22 mag/17 HMR hulls to make jackets for 50/85grain bullets for 25/20. Not a high velocity round, should work. Anyone tried it or have thoughts good or bad.

been saving brass to do this, have the resizer die and am saving for a set of 257 swag dies from btsniper. its very much doable.
How much are his dies. Want to do round nose flat point
look under the vendor section for everything he sells, get ready for sticker shock but his service and support are second to none. he will do a brass sample that makes it real simple to set up the dies.
Theoldredneck I do not know how many 22mag casing I have but if you want them and will pay the postage I would be more than happy to send them to you D Crockett
I've done it with a set of 4S dies, but Eventually I just ended up using copper tubing instead, a 50' roll of tubing make enough jackets to last me a long time.
Works very well.
Check out some 25 cal bullets I made from 22 mag brass in the following thread.

Thanks for all replies. Will build dies and punches to make a short round nose flat point bullet for revolver.
I would love to go there but I am hooked on so many bore sizes I would be like a “pair of eye balls on a stick” in no time!
That said I have been saving all my rim fire casings for a coon’s age ..... just in case:bigsmyl2:
