I made this last night for supper, it took about 20 minutes and was delicious.
We had a side of green beans.

Thanks.
I added a video too.
No chipotle for me if it’s got cilantro in it ! Stuff tastes like soap! Other people look at me like a have two heads! But if cilantro hits my mouth it tastes like someone squirted a bottle of ivory soap in my mouth! I did a little research and it seems it’s a rare genetic trait. You know like some people can’t roll their tongue only rarer. Go figure
Not that rare, I hate cilantro, like chewing on a bar of soap!
Cilantro is a vile disgusting weed that doesn't belong anywhere near food!
Hey folks, there's no cilantro in this recipe, chill out, take a deep breath, . . .relax.
Wife loves cilantro & I don't. But then again, once in a while I need my mouth washed out with some soap.
I have been wondering why cilantro even was brought into the topic, myself?
How about brussel sprouts? I like brussel sprouts. They are like mini cabbages... Tasty
But they are not in the recipe, are they?
;)
Doggonit..
LOL
& No sweat about the recipe link. Just tryin to help out!
;)
This is not the first time that I have had people change the narrative on things I have posted here.
I sometimes think about leaving this site because of the rude and thoughtless posters here.
But, there are far too many here who are good and considerate to abandon it.
Stick around & don't let things get to ya. Sometimes it is difficult, but in the end, try to just laff it off.
I just make light of it & joke around when I can. Like the post I made here earlier.
Folks are often funny & say/type things that they don't even realize what they said could come off badly or funny, depending on the person hearing or reading what the other said or typed.
Don't sweat the small stuff!
;)

BTW, I am planning on trying the recipe later. Maybe this coming week, after we make our 2-3 weekly trip to the grocery store in about a week or so.
I will let ya know how things went when we do try it.
:)
P.S. - & I won't be buying cilantro for it either... But maybe some Brussel sprouts... or, maybe even some kohlrabi, or rutabaggis!!
LOL

Hey sorry man, my fault. I wasn’t trying to hijack your thread. I see all these southwestern recipes they look good and then I see they have cilantro in it. Honestly I didn’t pay attention to your ingredients my bad . I assumed ( thereby making an *** out of myself ) that it had cilantro in it . I certainly had no intention of hijacking your post to go on about the soap taste of cilantro. I was surprised there were so many Others that had the same opinion as I do. Anyway sorry man my bad
I like men who will not hesitate to admit their mistakes, I will gladly accept your apology.
It is a very good recipe.
Thread drift is common on most forums...
Hickory, I have always believed that a man should always take responsibility for his actions. That most definitely includes, and especially, admitting his mistakes.
Take care

My comment was only about cilantro which had been previously mentioned, not intended to be rude, just my view of cilantro.
Time to move on.
It's a new day.
Thanks, Hickory and JB, for the recipe links. I have some frozen chicken waiting to be used. Not a big fan of chicken breast, but thigh meat sounds like a suitable sub.
That cilantro/soap thing isn't as rare as it might seem. At a restaurant with friends, several had "that look" and declined when the waitress said cilantro was an option.
JB's got a point. . . . How did cilantro even come up? Oh well. Hey, no limburger for me! . . . . Yeah, toe-jam! No toe-jam either, thanks. Just sayin'. . . .[smilie=s:
