Anyone make synthetic stocks for 30-40 Krags?
Man, that ain't even right.
that would be a sin!!
Blasphemy.
There are no brands/markings anywhere on the plastic gun stock, even inside the fore end. Does that mean it is a ghost stock?
They are on the shelf next to the ones for the Trapdoor Springfield….[emoji16]

I typed in "replacement Krag stocks" on Google and found a bunch of suppliers for nice wood stocks. A Tupperware stock on a Krag would be an abomination. Once, in Oakland I saw an E type v12 Jaguar convertible that someone had made into a lifted monster truck and painted like the Starsky & Hutch car. A plastic stock on a Krag would be that kind of wrong.
I don't need one. Now I got everyone riled up........Do they make them for Stevens 44's !!! I love wood too.
If you wanted to stir up a lot of ill feelings with a question like that you sure succeeded!!
Lol, lol!
Due to magazine position all Krags seem to have a tendency to break or crack in this area. If anyone ever made a synthetic stock for these it would be wise to add some sort of reinforcement in this area. Such a stock would be fine for rough hunting and keep the original safe at home. I agree it would be blasphrmy but given the scarcity and cost of original Krag wood there might e a small market. Especially to revive sportered ones with a bad stock.
