$2.50 in 1970 is equal to $16.33 today. It would still be a deal!

Yes, if you’re going back in time pick up 10 of those M1 Garands and M1 carbines advertised in the 60s and early 70s for $69.95 a piece. I guess that was a lot of money back then when folks were making less than $2 an hour.
Less taxes then and I would still be ahead at 70.00 a piece. 1000 and up around here. 20/20 that looking back. Not sure how many can buy one with one weeks worth of labor today.Quote:
