Stole this pic from BST. Have the same dies, but I don’t have this circled part. Have not used them yet, so not familiar with their use. What is it?
Thanks

That set of dies appear to be made by BT Sniper. The circled piece is a point form punch that goes inside at top of point form die. By changing the nose form punch you can get a different nose on the finished bullet. Not all dies have this option. The good news is if the dies are made by BT Sniper, you can drop him a line and he can tell you if it can be had. Hope this helps. :swagemine:
Thanks, I’ll open up the point form die tomorrow and see what’s in there, maybe I have it and just don’t know. I’ve been assuming that each die had a set nose shape, obviously that’s wrong. BTW, yes they are from Brian, and I could ask him, but I’m saving up in anticipation of pestering him a lot once I start swaging.
That is the expanding mandrel to be used in my universal die. Not everyone orders one as adequate results can be obtained from a typical reloading expander die for given caliber of brass.
P.s. it doesn't go in the point form die, you don't need to take die apart but if you do, take a measurement so you can return the die to its original setting.

OOps, guess I missed on that one. Close but no cigar. I did get who made them right. Would guess your dies can kinda stand out from the rest. Thanks for the correction. :bigsmyl2:
Thanks guys, I found a couple similar looking things in another box with the universal die. I’m gonna get everything out over Christmas and make some bullets.
Sounds to me like the hook is set!
:)
Simply let us know if you have any questions. We'll get you on track making your own great bullets.
Swage on!
