setting up my star
Why is there a hole in the back of the lube cylinder? when I try to push the spring in and screw on the cap it leaks out a lot of lube, and also should it be so hard to compress that spring? I have the cap threaded all the way down and I have to put all my weight on it to even get it threade on about one turn, that's as far as it will go, I left it there I assume it is cross threads but with it being so hard to do I left it there. is there a way to compress the spring prior to installing it? if so how would you de-compress it ? hope someone can help me, this is a really cool machine and I am so tired of paan lubind and punching out boolits. Thank you, Travis

You've got too much lube in the unit. I fill mine to the bottom of that hole.

 the above poster hit the mark, some things should be self evident :bigsmyl2::bigsmyl2:

While you have your answer, I moved your thread to the Star Forum.
Since the Star lubesizer is new to you, I figure you'll find more info here, to help you out.

screwbolts, you are joking right?

seems like a valid question for someone who has never seen a lubrisizer in real life before.

Be very careful not to cross thread it . Take out some of the lube maybe a inch below the hole , less is better , you can add more .

ok thankyou toallmy, and to let you all know I got it set for me 45-70 boolits, might stop back by when I re- set it up for a 1 groove 38 boolit. not messing with that yet though, I need to get pistol powder, probably unique or true blue
