@mihec are we there yet?
We have waited this long. Whats a few more weeks to be assured of a mold that should last a lifetime.
This design is extremely long and small in dia. It is hard on cherries and has already been proven to be an issue for machining.
I am sure he wants it finished as well but as any GOOD machinist he is not going to put out an inferior product.

Just asking, last estimate was last week.
I was in on this the first time, that was several years ago and it never ran.. A few more weeks is not a big deal.
Since the solids are done I assume we are still waiting on pins. That has been the holdup for many designs.
E-mails are out!
Paid. Been a long two years but I'm excited to see it through.
Order placed
One of the most anticipated moulds in the last years I think. I have a solid already and I could see it is extremely well designed. Looking forward to get a brass HP version soon!

Curious on what the consensus is in Lube Groove vs Smooth Sided. I generally powder coat, but almost all my molds are older style lube groove. I only have one rifle mold and it is the Lee 314-155 2R, so it is lube grooved.
Generally, I've thought best to go with the lube groove version as a "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it"- especially if you go to sell the mold in the future, but this time I'm questioning.
What say you all?
Got the email in today and just placed my order for the HP's! Went with NLG plain base for powder coating Blackout subs.
Although I powder coat or hitek almost everything I generally buy loob groove molds given the choice just because they dont seem to hurt anything and they give you other options.
That said I have quite a few no groove molds and they are extremely fast to cast giant piles of bullets with. I ordered grooved for this one but were I to order a solid one with more cavities I'd certainly consider grooveless.
And like you point out, most of us like to buy, sell, and trade molds. You can coat a grooved bullet but you can't lube a slick sided one very well. It limits your options.
I was in on the 1st Group buy. Got the email this morning & just paid.
I am so stoked!!
Paid and now the longest wait.
