When you say your prayers, lift up one for Waverly Tennessee and surrounding areas. My son called me around 8:30 am freaking out that water was boiling up through their air vents, and the floor was floating. They have suffered a massive flash flood in the community, as the water abated the magnitude of the damage and loss of life became apparent. My son helped pull several dead bodies from the debris and there are around 40 souls unaccounted for. Pray for all involved.

I've never seen such devastation in my life. It's amazing what moving water can do to cars, houses, trees, and basically anything in its path. Yesterday I just cried several times seeing the people so affected.

Prayer given . In these natural disasters it's always lots of people suffer in a lot of ways .
Prayers up. I live in an area that hasn't had anything but the very outside edge of a hurricane hit us in over 100 years. I fear if we ever get a major hit, many will die because, never having seen a hurricane, they just think it's another big thunder storm. I went through two typhoons at sea in a Navy ship, and believe me, if one heads this way, I'm bugging out pronto! I'm too old to fight one of these monsters.
The Christian community has really come to aid! I was there with my son all day yesterday and met a man from Lancaster Village NY, and Biloxi MS working together with 8 Days of Hope. The care is amazing, God be praised!
