Went out Iowa second gun season with my 1894 Marlin in 45 Colt with my cast 45-270 saa bullet and my bullet lube. Sorry no pictures left my phone at home.
Three does came walking in about 50 yards, so I took a bead on the neck of the biggest one and pulled the trigger and down she went kicked a couple of times and that was it. I am very impressed with this bullet.

I’m in the opposite position, sold the pistol but kept my MP 45 270SAA mold. Now I gotta find a .45 Colt pistol that I like. ;)Quote:

The 45-270-SAA is my favorite all around 45 Colt mold for my levers and my pistols. Congrats on the harvest and enjoy the venison.
