One of the best ones we've made is a mascarpone ice cream. Also, strawberry-basil sorbet.
Edit: Sorry, just realized - do you mean to make, or to buy? if to buy, man.....ice cream is a downfall for us. Too many to list, but they all have "texture" in common - e.g., less fond of straight chocolate, etc., but chocolate with chocolate coffee beans, chunks of fudge, etc. Will say, always craved cherry with chocolate anything. Orange and chocolate is another great combo.
Far and away the best ice cream is homemade with real cream. We use goats milk and it makes the BEST ice cream. Add in whatever fresh fruit you have. We use strawberries or raspberries from the garden. Huckleberries right now and that is the best
Homemade peach using fresh ripe peaches. YUM!!!
From the 'Wheel', last nite, Garlic flavored ice cream! Nope not going to try that one. Butterbrickle was great back in the 50s.

Love all ice cream, but have been cooling off with Rainbow Sherbert this summer. Want to try a great sundae, fill a bowl with your favorite vanilla ice cream and cover it with hot chocolate pudding !
Nowadays it’s true gelato hands down.
As a kid growing up in SE Michigan the creamiest ice cream you could buy was Saunders brand.
People don't know what their missing, now I have to find a good cantaloupe !!
We recently found a place by accident, Tony's Ice Cream in Gastonia, NC. They make their own, it's an older place and busy every time we go there. Looks like they might have a nice sloppy cheeseburger too.
Home-made is always the best, I do love peach. For store bought we get Tillamook brand. Their cheeses are excellent too.

Dr. Pepper Float is okay ... a swirl of Dr. Pepper flavored sherbet in vanilla ice cream , I ate it and it was nice but it's not on the same level as Java - Jolt or Brownie Nut Fudge .

I haven't seen Peach icecream in decades. Almost everything now is the air-puffed frozen dessert garbage.

If you’re in Publix country, try lemon berry bliss, one of their four summer flavors
Blue Bell vanilla with chocolate malt and dried cranraisins or dried cherries sprinkled on. Or any blueberry ice cream.
All great suggestions! Thanks!
