Looks like we're tied. Minus 8 here.
We were above 50 yesterday, and it's 32 this morning. Not bad, all things considered!
Double up your drawers, boys! I'll stay here where it's about 50, thank you very much.

9 in Eastern SD,but with 45 mph wind , no shooting today! Yesterday was actually nice at --19 with little wind. Cows better eat fast before their hay blows away.
6 on the back porch .
The wind will burn your ears off here this morning .
25 here and sunny, heading for 40. Looks like more rain starting tomorrow.
3* in northern MA. We're supposed to get up to 10* today.

-17 here in the Thumb area and about -20 something in Detroit last night. Supposed to be near +40 with rain on Wednesday, Michigan weather - close your eyes and it changes just that quick!Robert
Our thermometer read - 1° early this morning, - 10° at the local airport 5 miles away..
+4f now. going to go up to a balmy 15 lol.
wind getting up now. pipe froze in the kitchen .
-12 here at 1800’ in Central NYS this morning.
Been 1 degree f since I got up at 4:00 this morning in north central WVa. Looks cold looking out the patio window.
May go build a coal fire in the shop later and bush a martini block firing pin hole.
Gets that way here in MN on occasion as well. LOL
;)
it was only -16F overnight & that is sort of "balmy" for this time of year. Right now it is 5F at 10:38AM with a wind chill of only -12F. Quite tolerable, considering where I live in MN...
Who's next?
:)
6" of snow accumulated on the ground (pretty dry here), +34*F here now. It WAS down to -21*F a few days ago with strong breezes. It hasn't been down to -40*F/-60*F (!!!) for over a decade, but that's been known to happen. I remember back about '72..........!!
The wife and I went out side to look around to see what blew into and out of the yard. She tried to say something but the words got froze up in her mouth.
She went inside spit them out on the kitchen table and when the thawed out I heard what she said outside.
-6 last night, +3 right now. We got about a foot of light snow the night before, then turned to rain & sleet by morning. That made for heavy plowing. Got done just as the temp started dropping, now have a glacier out there. Wind's blowing so hard I'm afraid it'll blow the electric off the wires.
15 this am with single digit windchill which is pretty cool for this neck of the woods.
Buddy texted me it was better than -30 with windchill in my old stomping grounds up north with a high of about 0 today
Got me beat it was 1 this morning as sunrise high is gonna be 14 least we dodged "snowmageddon" this weekend all we got was rain south of Pittsburgh
6 degrees above last night 40 miles south of Harrisburg PA.Attachment 234552Attachment 234553
55 now mid 60's tomorrow here in South Louisiana. Part of the West Florida republic that was invaded and assimilated by the United States.
Top of Mt.Washington which I can see from my hunting camp at home is at about -80 with hurricane force winds.
I have not seen Mt. Washington, but have read articles about it and know it must be very windy up on top. Here today in SW Missouri, it was 20° this morning about 6 am with wind chill factor of -6°. Now it is so windy that it blew one of our old (really old) metal porch chairs off and about 20 feet across the side yard. Temperature is 32° now with wind chill at 21° with a south wind of 17 mph. It has been a miserable day as we spent the day doing some necessary grocery and hardware shopping in town.
Seventy here, but too breezy for me to cast on the patio, so set some GC's on some 30-caliber boolits, and called it a day...
Great news, it's suppose to warm up enough tonight, so we can get another 8" of snow tomorrow, and then back to below 0.
Freakin freezing here in Tampa... 40’s. Brrrrr! I do remember some really cold days in NY, CO, MO & MA though. In fact the Scout Master used to take us winter camping in Gunnison CO... crazy cold.
Freezing rain turning to ice, here now. Suppose to get 8 to 10" of snow, and I would rather have that, than this ice.
There’s all kinds of cold. Dry with no wind, bring it on, -40* no problem. When you add humidity and wind, just around freezing is the worst I’ve ever experienced.
-42 Saturday morn its finally warmed up to -15f they're calling for -35 thurs, its not cold till you try to spit on snowblower and it sounds like hail when it hits.
Two nights ago it was -5 with 40 mph winds.....last night a heat wave....1 above with 30 mph winds.....just another winter's day here in the paradise known as New Hampshire!
Good thing the block heater is working well on the diesel Benz.
Sounds like it's making some ice, hows Fishing?
I am not a fisherman but I see lots of people out there on the ice.
Never understood ice fishing. Lots of people love it but it is not for me.....
My handle actually comes from lobstering....I had a small lobster boat and fished 25+ traps in Portsmouth Harbor for many years.
The old timers always called lobstering fishing, and they called lobsters bugs....ergo fish4bugs!
ice is great, wont be very long till have to use extension on auger, some of the smaller lakes the guys are using augers now,
Maybe I missed something, but as I understand it, you fellows are sitting on ice, in the middle of the lake, staring at a hole waiting on a fish to bite. I'm sitting in my recliner with a crackling fire, a laptop, and a spirited drink while my fish are being fried and delivered.
I know I'm old, but WTH????????
Went thru Gunnison one evening, heading home. Looked at the trucks temp gauge and the engine temp was dropping. ???. Passed by the temp display at a bank. It was -34 out. Poor old 454 wasn't making enough heat to bring the engine up to full operating temp.
7 degrees this morning and a high of 28 predicted
