Two/twenty-two works for me...
Sorry I missed it. The Mrs. And I were half way to California when she got called back in to work. We didn't make it back in time to meet up with you guys.
Same as this time, I am open for where ever is chosen, as long as we are in the state. With my mother in law declining in health rapidly, we are trying to go out as often as possible before she passes.
Oh, and if the date is 2/22, does that mean we all need to bring a Triple Deuce ;-)
Last Saturday of the month - bring your Saturday Night Special [smilie=1:
Hi all. I just learned of your meet-up from banger, who was nice enough to PM me. Too bad I missed it. I live in Chandler so your meet up was very close to me. I'd like to go to future meet-ups. I have a couple younger kids so far away/extended trips are difficult, but I'll definitely go to the closer ones and see if I can make some of the further.

That is the weekend of our 40th celebration of wedded bliss. :violin:
I don't think I can make it.
But keep us informed of future date!

Hmhhhmmmmmm.....
F-class match or gtg???
Tough choice, how far west are we talking about?
What time, until...?
Would have to carpool, with someone.
I do like the "themes" for the shooting, that should be standard for the gtg's. Rifles shooting pistol calibers and pistols shooting rifle callibers and such.

I'm just throwing out an idea of a date
- pick another date when your all free
What's the first Saturday of March look like on everyone's schedule?
Any time y'all agree on is ok with me. I'll either be able to make it or not, heh. I was not able to share this at the last meeting, as UPS just dropped it off, but here is a black powder kit I received from this place:

For any of you that shoot the holy black, this looks good to go in my book, all ingredients are talc powder fine too. I have made good BP in the past with not as good ingredients as this. I can't wait to make some up!
I THINK I am free weekends in March. Don't have my planner with me.....traveling.
Please.....do not pick a date just on my account! If 2-22 works for everyone else, use it.

Trying to get the first Sat. in March approved by the "boss" . Once I do that I will try and find someone who wants to carpool.
Im good with the theme of pistol cal's in rifle or handgun, sounds like fun

OK, everyone check your schedule for March 1st
- Is this date a go for everyone?
Well since I couldn't make the last one, guess I'd better make the next one. March first works for me.
I won't be available 'til after mid March. At some point A good place to meet would be at the Salome Café/ Cactus Bar in beautiful downtown Salome. Good restaurant and we can set up an informal shoot just outside of town to the NW toward Tank Pass and Cottonwood Pass. I've been out there calling coyote and it's easy to get to.
West out of Phoenix on I10 to exit 81. Salome Rd to Salome. Left on Hwy 60 about 1/2 block on right. Or west out of Wickenburg on Hwy 60 to Salome.
We could meet for a shoot and eat a late lunch or meet for breakfast and then go shoot?

We'll miss you Larry - Ok as no need to go west - do we still want to do west or pick another direction like south to Tucson or north to Payson or Flagstaff
or we could do it again in Phoenix.
I still like the idea of Golden Carrol out on Power Road and then shoot up at Rio Salado Sportsmans Club out at Usery Pass. And heck yes bring a Pistol or Pistol Caliber with cast boolits.
Well I hate to miss this one but back to work for me. I can not continue to buy all the gun related stuff without working.
where?
when?
what time?
I have reader's block and want the short quick shot answer, if it has been nailed down!
thanks
At this point I believe Mar. 1st is a go for me. My better half has expressed an interest in going as well. If I may make the suggestion, as I dont know how many will show , and from what part of the state:
http://www.tontorimsportsclub.com/range-facilities.htm
This range is just south of Payson of the east side of the 87. I think it may be less crowded than Rio Salado on a Sat., no gaurantee but the atmosphere and climate should be nice I think. As for grub, I hear the cafe at the Payson airport has good mom and pop food at decent price; Crosswinds Restaurant, they dont have a web site and I couldnt get a working link to post, but google it the reviews are good. The downside is the airport is on the other end of Payson (north). Anyway like I said its just a suggestion. I have a difficult time making arrangements for things like this as I work 5:00am to 4:30-5:00pm in a very fast paced aerospace shop. If everyone is ok with this and someone wants to take the reigns, that would be a good thing.
az-jim
OK, we have a nomination for Payson - Jim Jones shooting range on Saturday March 1st.
I can confirm the airport is good eats for a breakfast never had lunch there - the casino
is just north of the shooting range has decent food
- and several good Mexican and oriental places to eat in town.
So do we want to meet up to shoot first or eat first then shoot? Range hours 9am-5pm $5 fee
(and only $50 per year to join up) - I'm thinking show up 9-10am and break for lunch 11:30
at whatever designated eating place we choose. Then after lunch those that want can go back
to shooting, the others can sit and gab.
I would like to remind any that haven't been up north, it's cooler up there and wind comes up
later in the day - not a big deal if shooting pistol calibers and public range is only 100 yards.
Marks Calender March 1 Payson
oooh, that sounds cool. I have land near Concho Lake, maybe it might be a good day-weekend to shoot, gab, and go stay on - see my chunk of high country desert.
