And some 258 65G FP but they are almost all trash as my pins moved and the halves didn't align properly so I have skewed BOOLITS! [smilie=b: Glad I didn't cast many of them!! Mold all fixed, just a quick tap with a drift pin and a ball peen.

^ I see a "hardness test dimple" on a boolit in the 2nd pic.
;)
Nice looking boolit pics!
:)
Too cold for me to cast here right now, as far as I am concerned, since I cast & smelt outside until I get something set up in the garage.. Pretty doggone cold & windy out right now in this neck of the woods. Another month at least, for me here in MN.
I am just dinking around in the reloading room, when I get the urge, so I don't have much to post about right now, for this topic.
Spent some time casting yesterday about 15lbs each with my HG-68 clone and 200 gr HP all .45
250 Lee .452 300 gr GC and
250 Lee .452 255gr RF
Thank you!! Yea I like to test hardness and then test again in a couple weeks. Just to prove hardness. I haven't culled them yet either.
Was a Rainy 40 degree day here yesterday... I opened the garage door about 1/2 and the back door wide and cast for some three hours relatively comfortably. :)
I have been itchin to get some casting done since Thanksgiving! Grmps and his pics of the same 125G LEE pushed me over the edge!! I needed some of my own!!

Ingots!
15# of some lead from the scrap yard. It was in drips and runs like it came off of equipment. Be interesting to see what it is. Could be circuit board solder or some bottom pour full of WW's with a leak.
15# ingot of dross, pot skimming's and rejects. Now up to ~40 lbs. of these ingots collected over the last few years. Soon it will be time to melt them into one batch and have it tested so I can use it.
All that burner activity made the garage a warm and comfortable place to work so it was two-fer. I was able to tackle some other stuff out there in comfort.
Small batch of 6.5 from a beagled mold for the Carcano and ~150 8mm for 8x57, 8x50r and 8x60s. Going to do some more 6.5's for the Carcano later.
I cast about 200 Lyman -402's for my chum in Texas. I generally cast about an hour, then move on to something else, so I don't sit too long - well, the blasted .JPG is 2.06 Megs, so the forum won't accept it. Dang!
Just a few LEE #358158 Boolits.

These are dropping small @ 357 ... My 360 sizer don't show evidence of sizing. I don't like to have to run them thru the 450... But I do have a .359 for it...
I need to cull all these piles yet...
Also some 350/44’s some 245/44’s and some 50/225’s too!

Only a half pot (10 pounds) worth of C312-185-R for my 91/30, 250g REAL's for my .50 Cal muzzleloader and 320g Minie balls for the same guns. The Minie's are a real pain because I can only cast one at a time and the skirt is pretty thin. Anything less than a perfect pour results in a deformed skirt and goes back into the pot. I only get about 50-60% successful pours. Then again, 50 bullets can last a couple of range trips.

Then I powder coated 25 pounds of 401-175-TC's (about 1000 bullets). I learned the trick of placing the coated bullets into trays and flipping them over onto the pan and it really sped things up. That and using 2 toaster ovens in leap frog fashion.

Some purdy 190 NOE 358 boolets.

Only an hour of work this morning. So set up a makeshifts bench on the deck today, and cast my heart out, about 40lb of lead poured today. timed it perfect to, both Friday, and today if I finished about 5 min before the first rain drops fell. first spits happened as I took the photo.
