Ric: With the right shell holder and die it would work as a cork puller. Probably pretty well too.
You just gave me an Idea for an accessory!

Randy, nice piece of equipment you've built there. I like the thought and mostly the craftsmanship I see in the pictures. My thoughts are, you are going to be a busy man. Keep up the work and do yourself proud. Take care, John.:redneck:
John: My Mothers Father was the only Republican Sheriff to be elected in Sedalia MO. He served from 1930 to 31 and then the Democrats blamed the Depression on him and he was voted back out.
I haven't been there since his funeral in 1959. Really liked Garth's Drive in. Wonder if it is still there?
Randy
Sorry it's gone

I assembled P2 yesterday and P3 today and will do P4 tomorrow. These are the prototype units and I have worked out all the assembly bugs. The production units will be exactly the same as what you see in the latest pics. A minor change in the pin holes is the only change and nobody but me knows about it.
Right now they are taking me about 30 minutes per unit to assemble and package. They are a little time consuming but very satisfying to see them come together.
Have instructions Written and am setting up to do a You Tube Video to show the product in use. That way everyone can see how the press works and see how much effort is required to F/L size cases. I did a few .45-70's the other day and they are easier than the .30-06's which are pretty easy as well. I wish I had .300 Win Mag dies and cases as I see them being the hardest of any common Rifle Caliber to size. .44 mag cases are a piece o cake and you can size and deprime 50 in about 10 minutes.
Anyway progress is happening and the project is coming along nicely.
Have sold 33 so far. Thanks for the support.
Randy
Parts are being made as I speak and the first deliveries will be on schedule.
34/50 are spoken for.
Randy
Very cool. Thanks for the update. I like updates!

What's the popcorn for - the Video?
OK guys just for a progress report, here's what Connector Links for 50 presses looks like on the table. (See Pics Below.)
They got cut to length, Now I am drilling the holes,
Then the holes all get countersunk to break the edges on both sides,
Then the holes get reamed to .249,
Then the ends get Radiused, then they get deburred.
This is all while the Major Parts are being machined at my friends shop. Hopefully done by the end of the week 5/15.
Then they get Anodized and Laser Engraved,
And then they all get Assembled, Boxed Up and Shipped to all you discerning reloaders out there who saw fit to order one. Takes about 30-45 minutes to assemble one as this is a Precision Tool and has to be right. I hope to cut that down considerably as I progress thru the first run. I still have some tooling to make, but nothing too complicated.
Still on track to start deliveries by 5/2/16.
I have been using P1 to process all my brass for the last month and gaining experience using the tool. I have to say it works really well, and the more I use it, the better I like it.
Stay tuned for more updates as parts come together.
Randy
Finished drilling the Connector Links yesterday and now have to ream them. All the aluminum parts should be available for pick up by Tuesday 4/19 and then go to Anodize and then Laser, then it's back here for assembly. Still on track to start deliveries by 5/2
Made a video yesterday as well but really need to do it over as I missed some stuff and using an I Phone you can't edit it.
(that I know of?) :?
More happening soon.
Randy
Picked up parts today and they look very nice. Stamped Serial Numbers 001-050 and delivered to Plater. Will pick up tomorrow and deliver top Plates to Laser Engraver.
Still making Connector Links, but they are coming along nicely.
Project is ahead of Schedule !
Randy
Nice! Part stops on milling vises sure do make quick work of those repetitive jobs.
4 Connector Links on each tool, cut to length, then x 2 = 400 Holes to Drill, Countersink and then Ream to size. Then Radius the ends. Then deburr, That's 1200 handlings
When building Precision you have to do all the steps, there is no other way to achieve it. It also takes time.
