My buddies' had a tilt steering column and dark blue leather power bench seat out of a `69 Lincoln installed. Still a bit tight, though.

My Bitter Half loves it...so....
See if this pic loads. 1975 Fuji 5 sp. Ground up build we did earlier this year. It attatched.
My boys are heavily into bikes. They KEPT giving me down the rd about this build,UNTIL they saw it. They just walked away shaking their heads..... "what"? Bwahaha. Kept finding cool, vintage parts off the bay. Has ALL the good stuff. Auto paint is a very std Ford black, with 4 coats of,pretty far up the ladder clear. Decals under the clear BTW.
Am not happy with the final gear ratio drive. Am looking for a new(old) setup for the front crank gear. It rides fine but 1st gear is too tall for the hills around here. It's a 48 tooth, going with probably 38T?
This was my ride. After two years and many $$$. For those who know VW you will know what I did. The body was mfg in Moab UT some time in the fifties or sixties. When I purchased in 2004 it was a swing arm chassis. I found IRS chassis, cut the link pin front end off old chassis. Welded it to the IRS rear suspension. Rebuilt 1835 cc engine. Got to old and fat to get out of the buggy. Sold it and miss it very much. Don't sell your ride, let them bury you in it.

This is my daily around town ride in the warmer months, and my hunting rig until it gets too cold for no doors, (I'm working on some doors). It's a '47 CJ2a with some modern updates to make it acceptable to the wife and kids. Chevy 153 out of a '68 Chevy II, 4 wheel disc brakes, seat belts, real seats, heater, saginaw steering and a Warn overdrive so it will keep up with traffic on the two lanes.
I love this rig, primarily because there is nothing about it that I don't understand. I overhauled the transmission and transfer case, both axles and the brakes. I can't really lock it up, but it is very unlikely anyone under the age of 60 would be able to comprehend all four stick shifters well enough to drive off with it.Attachment 294029
I like this. I have a friend, (in the interests of full disclosure, he is a mechanical engineer), who ran one of the '84 diesel rabbits 450,000 miles without any major overhauls. Just general wear items like brakes, wheel bearings, belts and tires.
This was my ride today, with a cut down storm sail, about 2/3 of normal sail area I was pushing 40 MPH. Got two more, a smaller one and one just like the 3 in my avatar. Those are 24' long with a 29' mast.
Originally designed in the mid-late 30's.
Mahogany, spruce, gallons of varnish and stainless steel. Smoking fast pieces of furniture.
Been doing it 47 years. I've got a friend who turns 85 in 4 weeks that will be out this weekend. He started before he was 10.

As I said, dumbest sport ever invented. The ice behind the boat goes for about 3/4-1 mile of glare ice.
1 O'clock this afternoon where that boat was sitting is open water.
With the forecast for the next couple of days I suspect that plate of ice will be in Canada shortly. But it should be replaced by new hard water by Sunday.
That boat is disassembled and piled in a buddy's front yard. His yard looks like an iceboat junkyard right now. Leave mine there and load up my daughter's boat and my little boat and head to an inland lake for the next couple of days.

My summer fun car! I just love it. So fun to burn around in.
New to me Harley Davidson 1994 FLHR Road King with 30k miles.

This is the ride I spend most of my time on today, specifically selected for use on a tree farm, to get between planted pines. A 4x4 standard shift, 45 hp, with improved lift capacity and grapple strength. It is quite a tool and ride. I am now on burn pile 57 (forestry says max 8’x8’x8’) after the tornado took down over 200 twenty year old trees on our place, could not give them away, too many down in the area.
