Don't hate me, I know they went woke.....But, a pint of Cherry Garcia does it for me, everytime.
Lemon Custard is always a great refresher!
Blue Bell isn't available here. On the other side of the state, but not the Western Slope. Love their Chocolate Chip and regular Chocolate too. Just have to put up with the junk they carry over here if I am desperate enough to get store bought. Local pizza/ice cream shop has just about the best Huckleberry you can get unless you are in Huckleberry country. Got some great stuff in West Yellowstone last year.
Graeters makes a Dark Chocolate Brownie ice cream----That stuff is GREAT!!!
With fear of being banned from this site, I suggest vanilla ice cream. Add a handful of busted up Oreo or Biscoff cookies and it's good. Add fresh peaches and it's great. My favorite budget vanilla is great value home style from wally mart. There is better vanilla ice cream out there if you spend 4 or 5 times the price.
I am a retired refrigeration mechanic
all trained up on softserve machines
for an ice cream suggestion
I would suggest to beware softserve,
the store doesn't really matter, it's the employees.
Softserve is a job of work, and requires training.
If the machines aren't sanitized
taken apart
top to bottom
inside and out
beater and spindles
new mix
every day
it's old sugared milk to give ya the gollywobbles.
Good softserve mix comes frozen.
We thaw tomorrows batch in the cooler.
Cheap softserve mix is a powder
mix it with hot water and cool it in the cooler.
Both ways work, but the stuff doesn't keep.
I have eaten way more than my share of free softserve
after I setup the machines.
Here is how to tell a safe store...
a teenage girl will declare the thing "Her" machine
and do setup and breakdown every day,
as she was taught, by the book,
because she cares,
because she is feeding friends and family,
because she is in it for the tips,
because she will eat her own ice cream.
Dairy Queen built a franchise around the idea.
More fun than ice machines, but not by much...

Don’t know if it’d be any good but it certainly would be something different.

Pumpkin Pie...yes they make it in ice cream flavor
Ice Cream, all I can think of to say is "YES please"
The wife and I made some homemade peach ice cream last night. She uses the cooked custard recipe and real cream and fresh peaches. It was better than any store bought I have ever had.
The wife recently purchased a yogurt-making gizmo. I have to say the plain yogurt it turns out (after an obligatory 36 hour wait) is as creamy as any high end custard. Mixed with a teaspoon of honey, or any number of different fruit preserves, I prefer it to any store bought ice cream.
So many great flavors of ice cream I just do not know what to tell you .
Dr. Bombay is a new brand put out by Snoop Dogg.
Available at walmart.
I wanna try some of these...
Iced Out Orange Cream,
Rollin' In the Dough,
S'more Vibes,
Vibrant Tropical Sherbet Swizzle.
I like my own homemade vanilla with real cream and eggs or homemade cherry nut with pistachios for the nuts. But a good ole Arby’s jamoka shake is pretty good too.
I attained ice cream Nirvana the other day by combining hand-picked Idaho huckleberries with Oregon Tillamook Mountain huckleberry ice cream...Attachment 316588
