It almost looks like the Gum wood stocks Winchester used on .22s; but I'm just guessing. It is probably walnut- hard to tell from here. You'll love that Plum Brown finish and it is easy to use.

I got to put the first coat of leather dye on the stock and forearm tonight now I’ll givebit a few days to dryAttachment 229989
After 2 more coats of leather dye and wet sanding now I’ve put 3 coats of watco oil and will be waiting for 2 or 3 days for it to dry then putting another coat or twoAttachment 230835
Well I have finished then stock and forearm for the Stevens 14 1/2,I followed the Rogers method and I think it turned out goodAttachment 231483
