I’ve used Hornady and I’ve used someone else’s self made checks. They both worked good but as far as value, accuracy, holding power, function you simply cannot go wrong w the gator checks in my opinion. Remember that’s my opionion based off using three brands. If money was no option I’d use Hornady but gator is a perfect replacement

I went with gator then keep use of Hornady. they cost less and dose the same also as Hornady.I use to use Lyman at first and then went with Hornady and then to Gator. It works for me now.

Hahndorf,
Are there any makers of gas checks down under? I’d think it would be a profitable venture if the demand is there.

As far as I know NO, albeit I have been told there is someone in WA producing alloy Checks, possibliy using Freechex dies, I have managed to get a Freechex 111 die in .22 from NZ,(thank you Jeff) so I can make my own.I would dearly love to get a .30 cal.but can’t have one sent from the US.
Kind Regards Mal.

Been along time ago. I have spent an hour looking for gator checks. I am not very good with computers and apologize for that.

Blammer on this site sells Gators, I have been buying them for 7 years I go through 15.000-18.000 .30 cal GC's a year both Gators and Hornady
I sell cast bullets on line in NZ, I have never had anyone complain about GC's coming off, both are the same to fit can't tell the difference.
