Some great answers here.
I've already stated in another thread that I would choose 2400 as my one powder for everything, if I could only have one. That includes full power rifle loads, or at least close enough to work with. For example, the first Lee load book shows 2300 fps loads with both 150 and 165 grain jacketed bullets and 2400 in .30-06. Sure the '06 is capable of more, but that load can get it done if you do your part.
For this thread though, I've thrown out full power rifle loads. So for that, I'll take something faster. Red Dot has been my go-to for this kind of load. Bullseye works just as well, though. Maybe even better. But that's arguable. The bulkiness of Red Dot is definitely an advantage for this type of load, especially in reduced rifle loads.
Titegroup for me. I use it in my pistol loads and my reduced 7.62x54 loads.
It's easy to find and I have a few pounds of it. Meters nicely other than the static, it sticks to the powder hopper.
2400 sweet and accurate in the 06 - love it
BUT
my handguns are split 50/50 BE / RD
Trail Boss. Because it works.
God Bless, and One Love.

For decades it was Red Dot for me, but TiteGroup is now taking that spot due to better metering, especially in low charge weights for the likes of .380 ACP.
I use most of the powered listed, but Bullseye is definitely my go to.
Titegroup but has limitations( still work in progress)
Unique used right is outstanding.
2400 a bit fussy to high or to low.
Red dot or imr red outstanding in certain calibers and is effective in the lowest loadings.
Bullseye, got a pound just haven't tried it yet.
Be well
Unique, used in shotgun, rifle or pistol.
2400 is all i need.
I do a lot of plinking and informal target shooting and Unique is the can I reach for.
Another vote for HS6!
Magnum revolver and some small cased rifle
Three44s
If I could have only one, it'd be Unique. I use Bullseye for most of my light pistol loads. I use Unique for the mid range. I use Red Dot for reduced rifle loads. I haven't got around to experimenting with Red Dot in pistol because Unique and Bullseye work for me.
Depends on the application. I checked Bullseye because I shoot 1500 rounds of 45 ACP per month with it, but sometimes I load lots of 44 Magnum. My "favorite" then becomes H110 or 2400.
2400 and 4227 for reduced rifle loads.

Is there a way to add the other powders readers not on the original list that readers say they use? It might be interesting to see the up-and-coming powders trend.
Have to go with Unigue with Trail Boss a close second. The difference is that the case capacity for Trail Boss is limited due to its VMD giving Unigue the edge in overall versatility.
Fail to find the powder you mention ...Quote:
What's the difference between that and CSB-1M?
