i have had this lee mold LEE C309-113F for a long time. put a few together and could not get a good seat for the rifle and shell gauge till i seated to 1.530.
all bands are in the case. powder i am using for this on is alliant 2400. if this oal is ok the starting load in an old lyman manual shows 10.8 gr. should this be backed down a grain or more? if these are too high i would rather tear down than be concerned about brandades and hurting that old rifle. had it since the 70's.
You're good. I use 12.0 gr of 2400 With a GC'ed 115 gr bullet of the similar configuration. You should get good accuracy with that load. I usually poly coat mine, but I've shot them with LLA as well.
what profile bullet and oal works for you?
I use the Lee "soup can" in a M1 Carbine. I seat it deep enough to fully chamber. I don't remember the powder, but I use just enough for it to fully cycle. I don't feel the need to stress an 80 year old rifle. It always rings the steel at my 88 yard range, if I do my part...ymmv

I size them .309” after PC and seat as shown.
They work great in my wife’s Howa Sporter .30 Carbine.
