Any one here shooting this round yet? It seems to be a .30-30 necked up to .357 from what I can tell. That always seemed like a good idea to me...

I'd rather have a 38-55, always thought that was a cool round. Used to load it for a buddy's Marlin. Both with real 38-55 brass and with blown out 30-30 cases for cast boolit loads.
That was, I think, my first foray into case forming almost 20 years ago. Started me down a dark path. 221 Fireball from 223 Remington to 500-450 Nitro Express from 500 Nitro Express and well over a dozen other conversions.
I miss Kevin we had good times at the club. He passed away 10 years ago.
I've yet to see any of the firearms around here, nor any of the Ammo.
But we don't live in the area where they are required for hunting.
The 30-35 has been a popular conversion for quite some time, but isn't legal in those restricted areas.
15meter, I agree on the 38-55. It's a fun round, all around loading and shooting.
Wish I had of experienced it earlier in life.

I have a 10" T/C Contender in 360 BKHMR. A great handgun round, more accurate using cast boolits than the 357 Herret, due to less freebore.
