I have quite a bit of old military 3006 brass. It has been deprimed, crimps swaged, and polished. I have more than I will ever use. None have been reloaded.
TW53 1000+
DEN42 50ish
U43 50ish
DM42 30ish
PA50 200ish
LC66 200ish
What if anything would these be worth?
Hi. Yes, it's very valuable. I suggest you look through the Swappin and Sellin forum to get an idea of the value of that brass, especially since it's .30-06 that's been prepped. Just be aware there are certain requirements you must meet before posting an ad there. It looks like you don't have enough meaningful posts yet. Best of luck to you.

Old brass? I don't classify brass as old until its older than the gun.
The TW53 an LC66 will be the most sought after. The DEN42, DM42 and U42 had corrosive primers so some people are a little leery of them because it might have weakened the brass.Quote:

Don't know if I'm the only one with similar experience, but "old" LC brass (7.62) that I had was very hard. Some of the pocket holes after swaging, had thin sliver rings of brass left at the bottom of the holes. IOW's the swager didn't push the metal back into the sides like it was supposed to, but SHEARED it off the sides and placed it in the bottom. That caused proud primers, which caused a couple of double taps in my AR10. Spooky to say the least. I stopped, examined my reloads and found a few more proud primers....which I broke down and found slivers in them too.
Your 30-06 brass is way older so be careful....... annealing first may be wise, but even that doesn't go down to primer pockets. Reaming would probably work better than swaging in the pockets of hard brass.
