Came across a pair of 23-d bolt action Savage rifle. Decent shape, bore pristine. One in 22 hornet, the other in 25-20. The Hornet has a few extra holes in the top for scope mount bases and no open sights.
Wondering what they are worth?
Thanks

Original finish, no extra holes, un-Bubba'ed nice collector condition $500-600.
Refinished, extra holes, farmer grade utility guns half that.
Mine is a .32-20.

I'm just guessing but I'd say probably $300 each at least. I've only handled them at gunshows, but they are neat.

Be aware that the 23-D was made from 22 Magnum rifles and used .223 dia. bullets. Use caution if you plan on using .224 jacketed bullets.
I'd have to agree with Texas .... but prices are not normal at the moment. Mine is a 22 Hornet and I love/hate it. Excellent accuracy - poor feeding.

No more than $200.00 each if they shoot!
$300 on the 25-20 and $400 on the 22 hornet. If it was a 32-20 probably would have nabbed it.
I have one in 25-20. Very accurate.
I think I paid about $300. 15 years ago. Make sure they come with the magazine as those are hard to find. I have never had a feeding problem with either cast or J's
Went back to the LGS and it was already sold:(. Not only that, but they had 3 Ruger #1's on the shelf when I was looking at the Savage and they were all gone too!!
