What does the "a" designate in a Lyman mold such as 454424a?
Something about as cast diameter?

It was a coding mark by lyman, AFAIK it meant nothing for diameter. U means undersized.
It may be a cherry #..........
I've heard in was a Cherry number too.
Means that it is Kanadian...454424 eh!
