In Handloader magazine #232 there was a piece on FA 454 revolvers with a 4 3/4 and 7 1/2 barrel there was usually less then 50 to 100 fps between barrel lengths between 17 different bullets using 15 different powders but usually only 2 to 4 different powders with each bullet with a burning speed from 296/H110 to unique.
