What is numbers are to the right of the (40)?
No other numbers. Just the 40.
looks like autobody filler lead.
Tin lead ratio?
A good bet would be 60/40 Lead to tin.
Seems there is a lot of info on the National Lead Co on here. But none matching the numbers on my piece.
Is it soft like pure lead?
Or does it have some rigidity like solder?
Melt temp would probably let you know a lot.
I have many factory ingots of Pure Lead that are stamped "National Lead Co"
I managed to save quite a few pounds of those and 50/50 bars from my scrap yard. Looks like 1lb auto body filler and they come in many different forms. Great way to get some tin in your alloy. I always take all I can find since I'm paying $1/lb i might as well take everything with tin in it.
