It has "micro polishing agents" which is probably a fine abrasive, so it should smooth your bore and make it nice and shiney....
Give it a shot. Make a little and try it on 10 boolits.
The Turtle puts out some different products, if you knew what's in the wax you have, it could be discussed as to, if that is something you want going through your barrel.
I've read a lot about boolit lube and recipes, and I haven't read anything good about using turtle wax as an ingredient...so, I wouldn't do it.
Went to Ace, and found a tub of JPW. Price was right, so that is the way to go.
The Turtle did not look like it melted into well.
What you want is this :
45% - Johnson's Paste Wax (big yellow can sold almost anywhere)...Turtle Wax might be OK.
45% - Lee Liquid Alox
10% - low odor Mineral Spirits
Mix well and use to tumble lube boolits with.
The Turtle wax probably would work just fine but it usually has a mild abrasive/cleaner in it. You would have to shoot an awful lot of boolits to wear or damage a barrel so it's in truth a non-issue. I'm not sure what kind of waxes make up Turtle , the Johnson's wax has been tried , tested and proven to work.
