I'm asking for opinions here; does someone feel there is a particular .30 grease groove design that is head and shoulders above the others as far as being suitable for paper patching? I realize N.O.E. is making the moulds for the N.R.A. p.p. designs but if a grease groove design works well I'd like to go that route - it would seem to be more versatile.
Loverin types always have worked for me. Lots of bearing surface.

I use Lee molds. They work great with paper.
Depending on what the caliber is that you are patching up to, then I would say yes you can. I use .30 cal. lube groove boolets for patching up to use in my .303/7.62 Russ. cal rifles.Robert

Preferred boolit profiles vary from one manufactures rifle to another do to there magazine style. It would be helpful to know which rifle brand /model are you interested in patching?

Are you referring to the 311407 and 311467 designs?
Yes, exactly. Not those specifically but anything that has that general shape, mostly body with a very short nose. The bore rider designs work also, if you have one I wouldn't hesitate to use it. But I find the best results with the Loverin types.

Nose riders work too.
Cast bullet engineering in oz makes a 0.301 pp bullet mould.
If I buy another 30 cal gun with a 300 or 301 bore I'd buy one of them.
I need 302-303 to make mine work for me.
