In a box marked Crossman Miniature Clay Pigeons.
I know of the Mossberg miniatures but all I see on Crossman was a 2 piece plastic deal.
Maybe they made 'em to fit the Mossberg thrower ? Who knows something ?
Size- about 2 11/16" across.

That's interesting, that size might be great for skeet and 16 yard trap.
Maybe for there CO2 shotgun they sold back in the late 70's ?
There are a few different types of holders that these are made for. ads.midwayusa.com/product/616127/champion-visichalk-target-wheel?utm_medium=shopping&utm_source=google&utm_ca mpaign=Shooting+-+Targets&utm_content=616127&cm_mmc=pf_ci_google-_-Shooting+-+Targets-_-Champion+Target-_-616127&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrLXXBRCXARIsAIttmRM1QntlDH4tX Ztgn25xE11KzfJkwb9GPDmywbsOREYUZEcocJDQGfkaAnm9EAL w_wcB
I used these to help train my kids when they shot BB guns and then 22's. They are fun, reactive targets...but, then again, many other things such as charcoal briquettes and flour filled balloons can be used too.
I think they are for pellet guns. They have a holder that will stand them up. Reactive targets.
White Flyer makes clay targets that are 60mm (~2.4") diameter. We use them on occasion for sporting clays. They look like a regular clay target but smaller.

These things date to the 60's (newspaper was used for inner wrapping of sleeves of these in the Crossman box)- the Crossman 1100 "shotgun" used 2 piece plastic "clays". Don't have one to measure but they really resemble the Mossberg ones that used a barrel mounted thrower on a smoothbore .22. Like to seea thrower for these but get nothing when googling Crossman stuff.
I remember the advertisements for the barrel mounted thrower, didn't remember it being Mossberg. The pictures I've seen of the older targets for the smoothbore 22s look different. Pretty close to nimble bees , the modern 60mm clays.
I saw some similar today @ Tractor Supply co...

Also, in sporting clays they are known as rabbits or teals
Had one as a boy. In the early sixty's. Small clays and a Winchester pump 22 rimfire smooth bore. Called Mosquito trap. Lots of fun!
Crossman made a air powered shotgun to go with these. IIRR CO2 and plastic shot cups... It has been a while.
Sold one from my shop as a collector piece. The thrower in the kit was for attaching to the barrel.
We never shot it as the seals were done for and would not hold the gas.
Shoot sporting clays. 60mm targeets are hard to hit. Fun to shoot at.
Necco Mints are smaller but good challenging targets, too.
