Kahles Scope
I have a Kahles 2.5x scope that I just got in misc gun stuff. Small tube and has only one adj knob and behind this is a slide. I think for focus. It has lever quick detach rings and looks to be for 3/8 dove tail base. The tube has light rust. I wouldn't mess with it but the optics are amazing and it has a neat reticle. I have no experience with Kahles scopes. I'm wondering if this is WW2 military and is it worth enough to fool with. Any info appreciated. I haven't messed with adj yet until I figure out best way to clean it up.

Not sure on your vintage but I’ve used some newer Kahles scopes and they’re top tier scopes and every bit the equal of swaro, Zeiss, NF, etc but fill the niche of tactical hunter, LR hunter and the like.

Check and see if it moves the image rather than the reticle when you adjust windage and elevation. if it moves the image it will be like adjusting the front sight rather than the rear. Go down to bring the impact up and right to bring the impact left in other words. I have been confused by this once. My scope says something about adjustable image on it somewhere.

This is a old scope. It only has one adj knob with set screw to lock it. Behind the knob is a curved saddle like piece with a screw in center. I'm thinking its focus adj. it must be set up just for adj elevation? Don't know and am going to try to find out more about it before I do anything. I wouldn't full with it but the clarity of optics is right with the best today and I haven't cleaned lens yet.

The saddle like piece is probably for focus.Windage adjustment on these early scopes was done by the mount. The reticle probably moves instead of staying centered when elevation adjustments are made.

I do not know anything about the scope that you have. What I do know is that anything Kahles produces is “top of the heap” stuff. It don’t get any better than Kahles. Lucky you.
