If you work up a certain load for a given pistol with a lubed boolit then use the same load,same gun except use a PC coated boolit. Would the results be the same? I have put a lot of time developing loads for lube boolits just hoping PC would yield the same results.
No in most cases not. With pc you will gain approx 4-5% velocity increase
This will probably change barrel harmonics

Sometimes loading data is very limited for some calibers/powders ..and sometimes the results can be counterintuitive....45 acp with 180 and 200 grain bullets comes to mind as one example, often a 200 grain bullet with a small load of bullseye (say 4.0 grains) can give a HIGHER velocity with 200 than 180 grain.Quote:

I see no harm in his question. its a general ask. He did not want specific load data for "HIS" weapon or for someone to do all the work for him.
Tinsnips .. you could probably use the same powders/bullets drop 1/2 to 1 grain and work up again and find the sweet spot fairly quickly

I find no significant diff in lubed vs PC or HT coated. So I am fine doing load dev with either & then substituting. I have seen vel increase in some loads but within the range for diff testing conditions.
