Yes, you can draw the 30 cal jackets down to 6.5 without problems, you just need the tooling. I draw 44 jackets down to 40 cal.
Here's a link to Corbin's website regarding jacket reducing dies: http://www.corbins.com/drawdies.htm#jrd
You can do it with out issues. If you know what you want they will make punches to suit for tapered jackets and the like. I make .172 jackets out of .224 jackets. I purchased a draw trim die which draws the jacket down and trims it to a given length that you want. Best die I ever purchased from Dave Corbin. Draw and trim in one go. Punches do wear though, so get a couple punches when ordering. Make sure you have an ejection system that will work for that type of die. I had to build one from scratch but works a treat.
You may need to anneal first.

thank you guy. I appreciate the info.
One more Question; how is accuracy with reswaged Jackets?
My little 17 shoots them well. I have shot some awesome groups and dead is dead. At the end of the day that is all I need.

Thank you Bill. Just saw you are in Tazzi. my best friend was raised on king Island down that way lives near Perth now.
Yes, easy and as long as the draw die is made right , There will be no issues in the accuracy department
