My wife and I were given our first levergun as a wedding present last week, a Henry .22 Mag Golden Boy. She absolutely loves it. I wish it was something that could be reloaded, but I can't complain about a gift!

Mine isn't a Golden Boy but I really like it. Slick as a whistle!
Had a chance to shoot the H001 22lr and was very surprised how smooth the action was. Made up my mind right then I needed the H001M
Another Henry fan. I have the H001 and a Golden Boy.
who says you can't load for it. use the search box and you will find all kinds of threads on reloading 22lr, some even have photos. I have to admit its kind of pointless to reload 22lr because its cheeper to buy it now, but who knows what the future will bring.
Beats the hell out of a toaster!!!

Good way to introduce your bride to the Shooting Sports.
Besides a new bride you may have also acquired a new shooting partner.
Get her a lever that shoots 38's and 357's. Then watch the lead fly. JW
Congratulations!
I've got a Henry H012 in 44 Mag - it is super fun to shoot. I shoot everything from trailboss to 296 in it. The Henrys shoot great. :)
Sounds like a keeper!
Excellent gift enjoy I like the 22 mag buy in bulk save money and shoot allot.
I have the octagon with the suppressor ready threaded barrel. May even spring for the star stamp and then a suppressor.
If you shoot a lot, it will be less expensive to trade it for a .327 or .38/.357 lever action and shoot reloads. Might be tough trading a wedding present but it is what I would do.
Any difference in cost between loading for a 38/357 and a 22LR is not even close to being worth the hassle of reloading. Buy a lot of 22's in bulk in case of a shortage again but I question whether that will happen in the near future.

But, .38 and .357 is so much more fun!
