have not used this but some guys really like the pinch trim dies, up north has a deal on them right now

For weights under 55 grains I trim after core seating with a case trimmer. Pilot used as a stop on seated lead. Extend pilot, increase hollow point. Simple and cheap but time consuming.

Clodhopper- Field expediency, use what ya got. I never got around to making a more "professional" looking one. Total out of pocket cost....$0.00. Bottom line...it works.

That case will not slip gripped in that...is it UHMW?
Gripped in a 3/8" piece of scrap PVC. Not sure what UHMW is........Ultra High Molecular Weight?
I think the first three words are right, we used to use it at a sawmill I worked at for wear plate. It was dense, slick plastic, similar in color to your gripper, I still have a few scraps around here salvaged from the garbage.
