Take a piece of drill rod, 3/8 is fine, 6 inches long. Get a ball bearing the same size as the finished diameter of the rivet. Heat the drill rod cherry red, like acetylene cherry red, place the end of the drill rod on the ball bearing that you have...

A Bee will do everything a Hornet will do for fifty more yards. A Hornet is not a Bee. If you push a Hornet to hard, make sure you have a broken case extractor with you. I have fired thousands of each caliber and have had countless head separations...

Had a customer years ago, bring in a wartime Browning High Power for a reblue. The metal was in perfect condition except for numerous spots on the slide, about the size of a penny where the bluing was just gone. When I asked him what the though...

May I ask how do you know that the wood is not properly dried? If your stock is not fully dry, go and find you a new, dry blank and began again. Crummy, but it's the only thing that will fix it. Good luck.

Is the profile of the bullet going to match the drawings posted on page one or the computer generated picture posted below them? Thanks

It's not a .480 but I use 10 gains of Unique and a 440 Grain Lee in a 500 S&W (Lee reloading 1st edition) Good practice load. I'm with Doug Guy on over ten grains Unique. There are better powders for the purpose. Just my opinion, others will differ.

I've taken half a dozen with the 180 grain, out to 125 yards. All expired either immediately or within ten yards. All bullets were pass through. Crusty is right, all things being relative, bigger is better. But a .357 within it's limitations is...

I use NOE and Mihec 180 grain WFN, results should be similar. Overall length may be an issue, I've never used a 190. I've tried the Lee 200 grain, can't get it to feed reliably in any of my rifles using .357 mag cases.

Any .45 caliber mini style bullet will work, no sizing required. .45 Maxi or a REAL bullet, engraves the rifling when you load, again no sizing required. All of the projectiles you cast will be straight soft lead, no tin, no wheel weights, nothing...

You can get your nipple from Dixie Gun Works or Track of the Wolf. They should have a chart available for reference. It will be a metric thread, likely M8-1.25 but I'm guessing. Unless your in too far, I might suggest getting the correct square...

Something to pass down and to use until that happens? My vote goes to the .375. Components aren't that big of a deal, I've used 38-55 Starline brass for years and they have held up incredibly well with full throttle Rx7 loads and Sierra 200grain...
