I enjoy watching it. A friend of mine coached a team for several years after he retired from pro baseball.

Cheapest and easiest way is to shoot the right diameter bullet, proper alloy hardness, good lube. Then you don't have leading to deal with.

I'm not laughing - I shoot my 44-40's with BP and cast lead for the same reason - even though the guns are replicas!

Not a simple subject - self awareness is a necessary underpinning of Christ awareness. The opposite is those who are oblivious to everything - and we all know some of them. Self obsession, or narcissism - is the more common sinful escape from...

True except for the one feature the spurred the Creedmoor's development. That is the ability to use the very long VLD or hybrid type bullets favored for long range competition in a 308 length magazine.

Nope - never had a 6mm/244 Rem. Only one I had was the 25-06. They may have changed it later realizing that they made a mistake. I know mine was a 12 twist. This was back in the 70's.

I love Windows 10. I do have a very fast cable connection so updates are not an issue. It did take a little getting used too but it has been the most trouble free system I have used. I started with an Apple Macintosh in the 1987. I would have...

Yup, item # and mold # are very different things. We typically use mold number here - thus the confusion. Thanks for clearing it up.

Remington used a 1/12 rifling in the 25-06 and consequently they have problems with accuracy with boolits over about 117 gr. When I had mine I could shoot 76 gr Sierria Seconds, 100gr Sierria Seconds into less than 3/4" at 100yds. This was an ADL...

The nipple should be removed no more than once a year for inspection and relubrication. Repeatedly removing it wears the threads, and will eventually cause dangerous failure. Plain old luke warm water is all you need to clean with. Hot water...

Wayne Smith replied to a thread Castor Oil in Cast Boolits
Not a problem. It is the castor bean that the poision is derived from. The oil is not dangerous. Airplane engines in WWI used castor oil because of it's heat tolerance and it's tendency to move toward heat rather than away from it. Engines were...

Where did you get your mold? Someone gave you a mold for the 6.5 Arisaka, not the 7.7. If the mold number starts with a 266 it is a .266 diameter boolit - your rifle barrel has a groove diameter of something like .314. No way that boolit is gonna...

I don't have a 455 so I can not comment on them. I do have 452's and 453's. Between the two I prefer the 452. I don't care for the set trigger on the 453. The stock 452 trigger becomes a thing of beauty with the YoDave trigger kit...
