I turned a couple of metal pillars on my lathe and did my Tikka hunters' pillars using Acra-Glass I bought from Brownells. The rifle was already accurate right out of the box but I figured a little bedding wouldn't hurt. I just sanded the areas...

I went through all of this with my No.4 MK1 Enfield. I managed to find a specimen of each of the various bolt sizes but none of them really fixed my headspace problem. The one marked "0" was actually shorter than the one marked "2". Bolt heads...

Excellent work. A couple of years back I did the same thing. In fact, my home made/swagged .22 pellets turned out almost exactly like the ones on the left pictured above. I made an accompanying slug mold with adjustments that allowed me to cast...

Thanks OR, it really is. Special to me as my dad who recently passed gave me the high serial number 1903 action years ago with a Lyman 48 on it. One of my customers refinished the action, another traded for that new heavy Lija barrel, Ben bedded...

Nice going. Most of the predators I've put down have been with my 1911 Kimber 45; not because I'm any kind of great predator hunter, it's because during my bumbling around in the sticks I happened to spook up more predators than I've ever been able...

My pleasure. If you need more info on the Umarex Octane air rifles and all of the clone air rifles of the Octane, I started a Yahoo Group dedicated to the Octane line of air rifles a few years back. We now have a little over three hundred members...

I don't have any kind of documented accuracy statistics or targets to show you. I live near enough to the inner-city that it's close to a 80 mile drive to shoot any farther. In my back yard I can only shoot as far as twenty yards. If I do my...

I use a Lane serviceable suppressor and I found that when I shoot cast powder coated bullets I get some powder coat residue in the initial blast chamber of the can and a little bit less PC residue in each of the six baffles in succession. I'm not...

I found that both of my Octane air rifles like the CPHP pellets with the head diameter equal to the skirt diameter. On my DIY sizing dies reaming and polishing the way you've mentioned was what I had to do to get my pellets to the right size as...

Biography:
I joined as a semi-newbie. Now I've been here long enough to consider myself knowledgeable about bullet casting.

With the help of some of the more experienced bullet casters on this site, I've developed some tools and bullets for my own personal use. Among them are a Soft-Pointing tool, Boat-Tailed Gas Checks and dies, Air Gun Pellet Swager, Match-Grade Air gun Trigger, K31 scope mounts and a few other things I've posted about.

The learning never ends and the ideas keep coming. Unfortunately for me, there isn't enough time in the day to tackle them all.
