A while back I destroyed the factory "Silence-Air" suppressor that came on my 1st-Generation Umarex Octane break barrel air rifle. I was wanting to see if that plastic suppressor really did quiet down the report of this particular air rifle so I...

Hi Randy: I see it all taking place just as you've described with your Hand Press example. I wish I could get everything spot on the very first time but that's just not how it works; at least not for me any way. Designing stuff seems to be...

Well, the surface finish sucks and the detail in the fine lettering failed to print clearly but, as a proof of concept print I couldn't be happier. Everything fit together as it was supposed to including the fit onto my Umarex Gauntlet air rifle. ...

There are a bunch of folks cranking out 3D printed stuff for sale; just not alot of them on this forum. From this first run of prototype components I can already see what I'm going to have to change in order to get better print quality. What I...

I got my new 3D printer; finally, after a few years of dreaming about it and saving up for it. I spent this morning printing out a few samples of the models I'd drawn up. I'm glad I went at it a little at a time cause if I'd gone hole-hog I would...

In my neighborhood there are one or two mocking birds who's life I'd like to cut short. I'm not kidding, these two birds can be heard making their racket/chirping round the clock. I've gotten up at midnight to take a leak and I swear I can hear...

My eye sight sucks too. So much so that I've had to mount scopes on my powder burners and all my air rifles now have peep sights. I've come to the point where I just make my own peep sights now. Great idea with that cartridge casing and those...

This is actually my only 1911 but the reason I've owned it so long while other hand guns have come and gone is because it accurate, reliable and easy to shoot. I've had it so long that the finish had started to show it's age. A few months back I...

I had to go back in and revamp the front to back alignment of my adjustable rear Peep sight. Before, the nose end of my sight base was not centered with the Iris of the sight so it caused the need of some serious right windage in order to bring the...

Nice work Ron: How close in are you able to get to these chucks and what kind of shot placement are you striving for. I'm asking cause I've never shot rock chucks before. The vitals of some animals are in slightly different places as others. Just...

About HollowPoint
I joined as a semi-newbie. Now I've been here long enough to consider myself knowledgeable about bullet casting.

With the help of some of the more experienced bullet casters on this site, I've developed some tools and bullets for my own personal use. Among them are a Soft-Pointing tool, Boat-Tailed Gas Checks and dies, Air Gun Pellet Swager, Match-Grade Air gun Trigger, K31 scope mounts and a few other things I've posted about.

The learning never ends and the ideas keep coming. Unfortunately for me, there isn't enough time in the day to tackle them all.
