"Sometimes it's better to remain quiet and appear stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. At least that is what I was told a long time ago. I have been around a lot of people who haven't had this wisdom passed on to them." (I) don't...

Sir (Texas by God) -- I Googled .30 Remington, and pasted the photo they presented. It looks pretty close to mine, and seemed easier than gimping down to load room with my bum leg to take a picture. A fellow I know turns the rims down on his lathe...

I did this once, ever nervous both in doing it, as well as shooting. A close, most reliable, reloading friend "got stuck" after loading 400 10mm Auto rounds. After "no bites" to his posted sale items, he offered them to me at "one dollar less than...

To my understanding, in 1906 Remington Arms came out with a rim-less version (so to speak) of the .30WCF -- introduced a decade earlier -- for their Model 8, 14, and other firearms of their manufacture, with designation as ".30-30 REM" / "30-30...

I was at a show maybe three years (?) back, where a seller had a Model 8 Remington in quite used, but not abused shape, priced at the upper limits of what I felt it was worth. I made a note of it, this on Saturday morning, without even making an...

Lots of poster correctly note the WEIGHT issue re brass moulds. For what it's worth, at age 71 I've really come to appreciate this factor, pretty much totally retiring from use all my iron moulds of 6 or more cavities. And, in past few years,...

I am ever so happy to read your post! Bion, for the past several years I have directed quite a bit of cash to RCBS, solely based upon RCBS's 5-star customer support. I had had a "problem" with a Lyman product, and -- truthfully embarrassed I do...

Pvtbomb -- In my short tenure of reloading/casting (~50+ years) I've noted basically two groups: those who try casting and don't like it -- mostly due to their using junk equipment, expecting to instantly turn out hundreds of pristine bullets at a...

I had an 1892 Winchester in .38WCF, and a fellow I sort of knew came over. He eyed the firearm, not saying much -- but returned two days later with friends (cousins) who collect these. I was asked NOT if I wished to sell or trade it, but more...

I surely am impressed! Quite the gorgeous collection -- I have a couple "wallhangers" and shooters -- including my favorite carry lever -- the 336 Marlin in .30-30 WCF. Years back I had a Savage 99, but that got traded for a 20-gauge scattergun....

At the last gun show I attended, two pretty fair '94s were being purveyed by a fellow from which I had interest in an SP101 Ruger. We got "yacking" re the '94s, and Pete commented how he "could've had them sold in less than a week at $750 or more,...

I have done this with two notables: 1st, the lub grooves are (obviously ;) ) not as deep as before sizing; and 2ndly -- I used a Lyman 450 -- the process was significantly slower than when, say, just sizing down one to two thousandths. (But --...
